Small American raiding and reconnaissance parties have been given their mission: To disrupt daily routines and gather intelligence on the German forces in the area.

The German forces are trying to establish new security areas and the American advance has slowed but they still need to keep the Germans on their toes.

Both sides are licking their wounds after 12 days of intense fighting.

Billeting is in short supply, so if you are planning to attend you must notify your Unit Commander immediately. Unit Commanders must insure that all persons attending with their Unit are current members of their organization and that accurate turnout numbers have been reported to the coordinators of the event.

All persons attending must register for this event upon arrival at Camp Rilea.

All members of the PNWHG are cordially invited to join us at this event.

The US ll Corps after landing at Gela is moving in to capture Niscemi where they face heavy German resistance at Biscari ridge.

The Allied mission is to secure two important intersections that connect Vittoria and Caltagirone and is a vital supply line for the axis forces and to secure a bridge at Piano Lupo.

The Axis mission is to cut the allies off from their beachhead and supplies.

This would be a three day event starting Friday morning, Saturday, and ending Sunday. Members do not need to attend all three days.

We will be in area Alpha. It is a new area and we will be the first to use this area as Biak TC just acquired it. It has a lot more outcroppings and mounds of rock. Perfect for our senario. It is on the north side of the Redmond to Prineville highway (OR 126). You will proceed to Biak TC the way you would normally. The entry we will be using is about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile east of the main entry. There will be a building off the left side just off the highway. People will need to turn just past the building. The Event Coordinator will have signs posting this. The camps will be about 1/4 mile off the road.
