Reenacting WWII:
The following article covers the NWHA's third annual live-fire full-auto shooting match in Clatskanie, Oregon. We had our largest turnout yet, with new modified scoring that added a mover course into the rifle match. This event is open to all NWHA members, and usually lasts from 9am till 4pm on a Saturday in October. Watch upcoming newsletters or the website for the fourth annual shoot and join the fun.

Third Annual Shooting Match Live-Fire, Full-Auto
By: Wayne W., 1st Infantry Div.
The 3rd Annual NWHA Live Fire Match is now history. First of all I'd like to thank all the people that came out for the match and the Clatskanie R&P Club for the use of their range again this year. The attendance for this year was more than last year with 14 shooters signing up for 26 different matches. Five units had shooters there in uniform with the largest group being the 3rd Para Bde with four shooters.

Canadian shooters tallying scores.
The first stage of the Rifle Match was 2 SR-1 targets at 100 yards with the shooter firing 15 rounds at each from a sitting or kneeling position. The second stage was a rapid fire of 20 rounds within two minutes while prone at a SR-1 and a IPSC target also set at 100 yards. The third stage was three tries at the Grenade Toss and Mover firing 2 rounds per run.

Pulling targets.
The Pistol Match started with the shooter firing 10 rounds at IPSC targets set up at 15 and 25 yards. The second stage was three tries at the grenade toss with 6 rounds fired at the mover per run.

The SMG Match started with 15 rounds fired at IPSC targets set up at 15, 25 and 50 yards. The second stage was three tries at the grenade toss with 10 rounds fired at the mover per run.

Eight people were able to get a grenade through the window to score the bonus points. The target for the grenade toss was a window 15 yards downrange from the shooter complete with flowers in the window box.
This year we didn't have any shooters use a nearly empty magazine for the 2nd or 3rd run of the mover. But a few people did forget to take off the safety or close the bolt. At this point I'd like to thank the TCGC Practical Rifle people for letting us borrow the mover.

The Team Match was the combined top three scores from any units with three or more shooters entered in the Rifle Match.
Next year there will be a Semi-Auto class for anyone that has and wants to shoot their Semi-Auto only SMG type firearms.
