SECTION 1 - INTRODUCTION

a. This Policy sets out the duties and responsibilities, in general, of the various positions which are electable within the NWHA.

b. The purpose of this Policy is to adequately inform Members, in order to assist in the decisions to be made before and during the annual General Election.

SECTION 2 - CHAIRMAN

a. The Chairman shall serve as the President of the NWHA, and shall serve as the Chairman of the NWHA Board of Directors. This position is responsible to the Membership and to the Board of Directors.

b. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to:

2. Calls for and conducts votes by the Members of the Board;

3. Represents the overall interests of the NWHA to the Board;

4. Acts as an overall point of contact with other organizations; and

5. Other duties as determined by the Board.

SECTION 3 - ALLIED AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVE

a. The Allied At-Large Representative shall serve as a Director of the NWHA and shall serve as a Member of the NWHA Board of Directors. This position is responsible to the Membership and to the Board of Directors.

b. This position shall be filled by a Member of an Allied Unit, and shall be nominated by and elected only by vote of Members of the Allied Units.

c. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to:

2. Represents the Board of Directors to the individual Members of the Allied Units; and

3. Other duties as determined by the Board.

SECTION 4 - GERMAN AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVE

a. The German At-Large Representative shall serve as a Director of the NWHA and shall serve as a Member of the NWHA Board of Directors. This position is responsible to the Membership and to the Board of Directors.

b. This position shall be filled by a Member of a German Unit, and shall be nominated by and elected only by vote of Members of the German Units.

c. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to:

2. Represents the Board of Directors to the individual Members of the German Units; and

3. Other duties as determined by the Board.

SECTION 5 - SECRETARY

a. The Secretary shall serve as an Officer of the NWHA and shall serve as a Member of the NWHA Board of Directors. This position is responsible to the Membership and to the Board of Directors.

b. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to:

2. Corresponds with other organizations as directed by the Board;

3. Maintains the corporate records of the NWHA;

4. Prepares necessary returns for filing with Governmental agencies;

5. Maintains Membership records;

6. Prepares and mails or issues Membership Cards to Members;

7. Prepares and mails General Election Ballots;

8. Prepares and mails other information as necessary to Members;

9. Handles additional administrative details of the NWHA; and

10. Other duties as directed by the Board.

SECTION 6 - TREASURER

a. The Treasurer shall serve as an Officer of the NWHA and shall serve as a Member of the NWHA Board of Directors. This position is responsible to the Membership and to the Board of Directors.

b. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to:

2. Receives revenue paid to the NWHA;

3. Deposits revenue into the NWHA corporate checking account;

4. Pays legitimate debts and expenses as directed by the Board;

5. Accounts to the Board for all funds received and expended;

6. Prepares Treasurer’s Reports and presents to the NWHA Board of Directors at all Board Meetings and at additional times upon request of the Chairman;

7. Acts as one (1) of three (3) signatories on the NWHA corporate checking account; and

8. Other duties as directed by the Board.
